No Agreement As Magic Release Front-Loaded TV Sked

No, Bright House and FSN Florida have not reached an agreement to make FSN available for free -- recall that Bright House wants the network to be part of a premium "sports tier" package -- but there is some good news to report. Brian Schmitz tells us that 26 of the team's first 32 games will be broadcast on either Sun Sports or TNT. The Magic hope that Bright House and FSN will come to an agreement during this time, making the second half of the season, which features a bevy of games on FSN Florida, available for free to all Magic fans.

Dunkin' Donuts is holding a grand opening of its new store at 7571 Osceola Polk Line Road from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. I didn't know they had grand openings but why not? J.J. Redick will make a starting appearance (He's got to like my phraseology, right?) at 11:30 a.m. along with the Orlando Magic Dance Squad.

No mention of free donuts but you can ask.

FOX Sports on MSN - Olympics - Breaking down the road to redemption. Charley Rosen was so disappointed with Dwight Howard's performance in the Olympics that he graded him a D-Plus, the worst grade of any Redeem Teamer. Yes, Rosen rated Howard lower than Carlos Boozer and Michael Redd, who played far fewer minutes. While I think we can all agree that Dwight underwhelmed in Beijing, I think we can also all agree that he did more to secure a gold medal for Team U.S.A. than either Redd or Boozer, and possibly even Jason Kidd.

Not much going on with the Magic right now. Things have been quiet the last couple weeks and don’t know what other moves Otis might make. So everyone’s attention should be turned to the Olympics- I’m excited to watch "The Redeem Team" go for the Gold. I know Coach K will have those guys prepared. Also, Michael Phelps may or may not be superhuman and I’ll definitely be watching to see how many Gold medals he can nab.

Here's a short clip of Dwight Howard and Hedo Turkoglu greeting one another before last week's exhibition game between Team USA and Team Turkey. Based on that clip, and the team's behavior after some key wins this season, the "jumping-up-and-down-while-embracing" move seems to have replaced the butt-pat as the Magic's go-to method of whooping it up.

MAGIC, FOYLE AGREE TO ONE-YEAR CONTRACT

The Magic re-signed Adonal Foyle for the veteran's minimum salary. I'm disappointed, but not surprised. I suspect he'll be the last big off the bench, if he ever even dresses, behind Dwight Howard, Tony Battie, and Marcin Gortat.

The Magic, Timberwolves and Kings rookies are all donning the new jerseys that their teams will be wearing for the first time next season. Now this is just my personal opinion, but I rank Orlando as the best, then Sacramento, then Minnesota. The Magic's jerseys have a Penny/Shaq/3-D Scott feel, with a modern Dwight Howard/Spiderman touch. I'm digging them.
